Young Creative Entrepreneur Club event #4 with Craig Patton, R/GA
International Young Interactive Entrepreneur (IYIE10) Award follow – up event “Interactive and Digital Stars of Tomorrow” will be hosted by British Council (Blaumaņa street 5a-2) on Thursday March 3, 2011, from 16.00 – 18.00.
The guest speaker will be Craig Patton, the Managing Director, Business Development at R/GA, who will share his entrepreneurial experience and ideas, how to succeed in the future of digital and interactive sector. Ernests Štāls, the winner of IYIE 2010 Award will also share his learning points he acquired during the UK interactive industry tour.
The seminar will take place at British Council Latvia office Blaumaņa street 5a-2, Riga, from 16.00 – 18.00

BACKGROUND
As IYIE 2010 Award winner in October 2010 Ernests Štāls undertook 12 day long UK interactive industry programme along with other international IYIE 2010 award winners. One of his aims while being in UK was to invite one most inspiring industry sector professionals to Latvia. The tour brought him to the R/GA digital agency, where he was very impressed about the work and ideas of Craig Patton, the Managing Director, Business Development at R/GA
A seasoned executive with more than 15+ years in digital media and emerging technologies arena, Craig has been at the forefront of interactive communications in the mobile, internet and interactive television markets.
Currently working with R/GA – Interpublic Group’s multi-award winning Agency for the Digital Age – to grow their business internationally, he brings his experience of pioneering the use of interactive channels to drive the emergence of a innovative, more personal and relevant marketinging solutions for clients like Nike, Nokia, Aston Martin, O2 Avaya, Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo, amongst others.
Previous roles have included time spent with a number of Omnicom’s digital agencies (agency.com, oyster, i-traffic, Organic, Agency Republic, and ipsh! amongst those); Neven Vision – a mobile biometric/facial recognition technology provider (acquired by Google); and Flytxt – a mobile marketing and technology provider (restructured, a portion of which was sold to Buongiorno).
He got his start in the internet and mobile industry as the business development director for Clarity IBD which was acquired by Proxicom in 2000 (subsequently acquired by Dimension Data a year later).
Over 50 countries have taken part in YCE programme so far. In Latvia YCE is delivered for 3 years. In order to promote the developments in interactive and digital media sector in Latvia and to identify new entrepreneurial talents we have teamed up with Soros Foundation Latvia.
We are also continuing our cooperation with our strategic partner Stockholm School of Economics in Riga , our marketing partner DDB Latvia , our digital partner CUBE, social networking site www.draugiem.lv, as well as 7guru , – marketing communications industry portal.
